If I were to put myself in your shoes, I know that I would want to know more about the builder who I was considering to build my home. After all, it is one of your greatest assets and a place where you will spend significant time with the people you care about.
My name is Liam Phelan, I’m a father of 4 based in South Tipperary. I got my first taste of construction as a 14 year old doing summer work for a local builder, which I continued throughout my education years. On completion of a BA in University of Limerick, I wanted to travel and see the world and spent some time working in several countries. It was in Australia that I knew the career path I wanted to pursue – the construction industry.

On returning from my travels in 2004 I continued to work in the construction industry gaining invaluable experience. My background is in carpentry, and I’ve undertaken many roofing, 1st and 2nd fix projects. In 2006 I decided to branch out into bigger projects and contract work. Phelan Construction was established and to date my company has experienced an economic boom, a recession, an economic resurgence and a pandemic; while continuing to go from strength to strength.

Along the way I fostered relationships with fellow trades who share our same values and perfectionist nature. Many of the tradespeople we use have been working with us for years.

This helped Phelan Construction to quickly develop the reputation for high quality builds. A reputation I take very seriously.
Apart from the physical element of construction, I also get a lot of satisfaction in getting to know each client and their families, and what they want and need from a home to bring their vision to life. Because I deal with them directly through the building process, we have had the privilege of establishing relationships with clients that go far beyond the build.
